Your First Simulation
Get started with Navier AI Platform and run your first OpenFOAM simulation in just a few steps.Access the Platform
Launch the Platform
Launch the Platform
Navigate to platform.navier.ai and sign in to access the Navier AI Platform. The platform runs entirely in your browser - no software installation required.
Create a New Project
Create a New Project
Click “New Project” to start a fresh simulation. Give your project a descriptive name like “My First Drone Simulation” or “Airfoil Analysis”.
Upload Your Geometry
Prepare Your CAD File
Prepare Your CAD File
Export your geometry as an STL file from your CAD software. The platform supports:
- STL files (recommended)
- Clean, watertight geometries work best
- Reasonable file sizes (under 100MB for best performance)
Upload to Platform
Upload to Platform
In the simulation tree, click on “Geometry” and upload your STL file. The platform will automatically:
- Import and visualize your geometry
- Calculate characteristic dimensions
- Prepare for domain setup
Configure Your Simulation
The platform guides you through each step with a visual tree interface:Domain Setup
Set computational domain size with smart presets (Small/Medium/Large)
Mesh Configuration
Configure mesh density and refinement zones visually
Solver Settings
Choose flow conditions (incompressible/compressible, steady/transient)
Boundary Conditions
Set inlet velocities, outlet pressures, and wall conditions
Run and Monitor
Start Simulation
Start Simulation
Once configured, click “Run Simulation” to start your OpenFOAM calculation. The platform handles all the complex OpenFOAM setup automatically.
Monitor Progress
Monitor Progress
Watch your simulation progress in real-time with:
- Residual plots showing convergence
- Live force coefficient monitoring
- Estimated completion time
- Error detection and reporting
